Rejection is the mother of all maladies because it triggers so many others: insecurities, depression, substance abuse, self-harm, and anxiety, to say nothing of all sorts of all the self-destructive, high risk behaviors in which people often engage in the search for acceptance. But God accepts what the world rejects. He is a father to the fatherless, and a friend to the friendless. As Jesus said: "Whoever comes to me I will never drive away."
