There was a famous song by the band Depeche Mode that talks about being someone else's personal Jesus: "someone to hear your prayers, someone who's there, someone who cares." And yes, we should all endeavor to be Jesus to everyone else, to be the most honest, reliable, helpful, and caring we can be. But we should also have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ himself, as we abide in Him and He in us.
