Our Daily Bread
When Jesus explains how to pray in his famous "Lord's Prayer" speech, one of the things He tells us to pray for is "our daily bread." We take that to mean, all too often, material blessings, even if only in the form of our basic necessities. But it should be understood to mean provision for all things that we need to get through the day, at the emotional, physical, and in particular spiritual level as well.
